Community Projects

Off The Wall Entertainment prides itself on being at the heart of the community in Uckfield and the surrounding areas. We provide technical equipment, video equipment, video editing and production management for a wide range of shows, projects and events.

Holy Cross Church, Uckfield

We have been supporting Holy Cross Church for a number of years now, by lighting the outside of the church for their annual Festival of Christmas Trees and providing lighting for their Christmas concerts.

When the government announced the lockdown in March 2020, the church approached us to help them create some online services to stay in contact with their congregation while the church was closed. Using a webcam, some microphones and a laptop, Matt filmed four services just before the church closed its doors. These were then edited into online services.

The online services have evolved since their humble beginings and we now film them on a 4K broadcast camera. The feedback has been very positive and we are pleased that so many people find comfort in these productions.

Festival of Christmas Trees 2020

A big part of the church calendar of community events is The Festival of Christmas Trees. The festival involves schools, community groups, businesses and more each decorating a Christmas tree in the church.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the church were forced to cancel the festival for 2020. They approached us to create a video for the event which involved going to places of work, schools and community settings to film the Christmas trees in situ. We also recorded the church children's choir singing as the soundtrack to the film.

The video that was created became a celebration of our community and we hope that it will be a time capsule of Christmas 2020 in our town.

Deborah Lamb Theatre Arts

We regularly work with local dance and performing arts school Deborah Lamb Theatre Arts. We have provided recording services for their show and supplied staging, lighting and sound for their singing competition. We look forward to working with them again in the future on their rescheduled show 'The Circle of Life.'

Uckfield Theatre Guild
'A 2020 Christmas' Video

We were approached by the Uckfield Theatre Guild to provide technical support for them to record a video of a Christmas song written by one of their members.

We ran a socially distanced recording session where members came in family groups to record their section of the song. These excerpts were then edited into the final song. We used footage of the recording session and some extra footage filmed in a Covid secure manner at the Civic Centre to create the final video.

Weald on The Field

We always have a lot of fun bringing our Silent Disco tent to Uckfield's summer food and music festival 'Weald On The Field' This brilliant local event sees grass roots musicians being given the chance to perform to a large local audience. It also boasts an array of great local produce to eat and drink.

Uckfield Late Night Shopping

Off The Wall has provided marquees and production management services for Uckfield's annual Late Night Shopping event for many years now. We love seeing the community come together for this festive event.
